Hunter recently released a lovely matrix of my "first" show and I am extremely grateful to have it.

Some years back, and after Charlie Miller released his SB, I asked Hunter about this show in this here forum, and he said it was on his radar. This is the show that "turned" me. It's really something special to hear it in this way, now 40+ years later

Many many thanks -

Glad you're digging it, fenario80!! I was real happy with the results with this one. The SBD alone had warbly issues that the AUD helps mask completely!! The show just takes off and doesn't let up. Another recent request for this show fanned the flames for me to attack this. Thanks for the kind feedback!

Thanks as always Hunter for your time and effort in making these. Got a question for you after I read that one review, but I am not to technically inclined, so you might need to dumb down you answer. Basically I want to know about pitch or is the speed of the tape? What are we hearing on the matrixes compared to the soundboard, or audience, as far as it sounded the actually night it was recorded? How do you know if a song sounds speeded up or slowed down on a original source? Bill K. in his book, said that he was doing bumps after every song at some shows, so maybe the boys were all just flying during certain songs! If you have two sources of a show, which one is the correct one as far is pitch is concerned? How do you make them sound just right? Thanks again. Peace and wash you hands.

I alway match to the SBD speed, which is usually pitch corrected by guys like Joe B. Jones and Rob Bertrando first. So, you are hearing the same exact SBD speed. Very basically, the AUD is synced to the SBD by trailing it at a very minuscule distance "behind" the SBD, so they are not right on top of each other. Putting them right on top of each other makes a "conflicting" sound. The SBD is almost always the dominant source in the blended mix ratio. Thanks for the inquiry!

As Jackie Gleason says
And away we go...
I heard the show before a bunch. I think this is the dawn of the Wolf.
